Discover "moving meditation" through the art of Shakyo (sutra copying) at Daijoji Temple.

Discover Zen through mindful practice on this private temple experience featuring traditional sutra copying in Kanazawa.

After hotel pickup by private vehicle, travel with an English-speaking guide to a Zen temple, where you will begin with a guided visit of the temple grounds. Learn about Zen teachings, symbolism, and the role of temples in Japanese spiritual life.

Next, experience sutra copying (shakyo), a meditative calligraphy practice that encourages focus and calm. Using traditional tools, you will carefully copy Buddhist text under gentle guidance. No prior calligraphy experience is required.

After completing the activity, enjoy a matcha tea experience, offering a moment of relaxation and reflection.
